Choose the right scope for your asphalt project

What affects a paving estimate?

The measured area, excavation, base condition, drainage, equipment access and expected vehicle loads all affect the proposed work. Ask for preparation, materials and any repairs to be listed so you can compare estimates on the same basis.

Can you resurface the asphalt I already have?

An assessment is needed first. An overlay may be suitable for some existing pavement; failed areas or drainage problems may need repair before new asphalt is placed.

Is seal coating the same as resurfacing?

No. Seal coating is a surface maintenance treatment for existing asphalt. Resurfacing adds a new asphalt layer. Discuss the condition of your pavement before choosing a treatment.
